About who needs care: This client is 78 years old, history of stoke, fall, lung cancer and dementia. She has very limited ability to walk, but able to use a scooter or a wheelchair with assistance. Her husband has been doing all of the care without help. She needs support with activities to keep her engaged, and to help monitor her safety. About the care needs: The caregiver should be patient with repeated questions and other signs of dementia. The client was an avid knitter and would enjoy being encouraged to pick up a project. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
