About who needs care: We are looking for care for my father-in-law. He underwent brain cancer surgery (Removed two large tumors and two inoperable ones remain) early April. He has been home for over a week so far (As of 4/29). He requires a walker/cane at all times (He is a fall risk and easily becomes fatigued). He has memory issues and experiences frequent aphasia. He mostly reads and watches the news. He talks a lot about politics. He likes walking around the property and gardening. Although slowly but surely becoming more independent, we're not yet comfortable leaving him alone for long periods of time. About the care needs: A physical and/or occupational therapy background would be helpful to ensure he does some exercises to help him gain mobility and strength. He also needs to be given prescriptions morning and night. Someone who is patient, funny and not easily offended will go a long way. He isn't very active so someone who likes to read and is OK with sitting in the quiet would be good, too. Services needed include: companionship.
