About who needs care: My mother has memory loss (MCI). She can take care of herself (clothing, bathing, etc) but needs rides to the market on days I can't be there, companionship, and taking out to activities. She is bright, travelled, and enjoys talking about travel and watching TV. She is fiercely independent. She has never had a caretaker so I will introduce you to her as a friend/helper. About the care needs: Patience, trust worthiness, a good listener who can direct her gently and reassure her. Someone with experience with MCI or early stage Alzheimer's. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship. We are flexible on hours. I'm hoping for 2-3 days a week for 3-4 hours. Morning to midday is best.
