I am an honest, trustworthy and nurturing individual that is ready to care for your child. I love working with children, watching them grow and learning new things. My ultimate goal is that your child has the best childhood experiences. I have a good work ethic and pristine driving record. I am positive, have a fabulous attitude, and am easygoing with children of all ages. I understand boundaries, love people and create a comfortable atmosphere around me. I believe children thrive when they know that they are loved and cared for and have structure and behavioral boundaries. I have worked with many families for long time care. The majority of my families as of late have been military, I lived near the Lemoore Naval Air Base in California and have stellar references. At present, living in Redding, I am seeking short term or one time occasions for care. I'm here as your caregiver to make your job as a parent as stress-free as possible and help your life run smoothly.

Mercedes worked for us for about 4-5 years. She started when our oldest was about 10 months old, and ended when we moved to the east coast. We would have paid for her to move out here, had she been willing. She always made us feel at ease, and was confident in how to handle children of varying ages. She was willing to care for them how we wanted, so if we had requests for punishments, food, tv restrictions, etc, it was always carried out. I always knew that if I had some crazy mom request, she would do it with a smile on her face, and usually do it better than me. She had so much experience with children that she is still the person we seek advice from before anyone else in either of our families. She was never late, and a safe driver. I am a horrible back seat driver, and I felt safe having them in her car. We had one younger nanny who was safe, but that's about all I can say. With Mercedes I would come home to a clean house, instead of a dirty one. I didn't need to worry about doing bottles when I got home, and depending on if we stayed late, dinner would be given too. She isn't just doing this before she starts her 'real job' as some younger nannies would indicate. This is what she loves to do, and what she does best. My husband and I felt safe leaving them overnight, and she stayed with my oldest when I was in the hospital having my youngest. Once, when my husband was away on some diet, I woke up and knew something wasn't right. She came over and stayed with my oldest while the ambulance carted me away. She stayed until the next day when I got home. We still can't find anyone close to her. She's safe, caring, compassionate, understands what parents and children want, respectful of your parenting choices, and the best thing that will happen to your family. I am happy to provide a phone reference as well.
