We are looking for a bi-weekly to tri-weekly respite provider for our 11-year-old special needs son. We will have personal support staffpresent to assist during respite days, but need a primary person to be designated as a caregiver. We may be able to host two caregivers for each respite weekend, as well. Our son enjoys Legos, video games, Pokemon cards, swimming, and going to the playground. Job could start as early as 11/10/23.
Work experience or knowledge of supporting foster youth, adoption, attachment and developmental trauma, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred. Providers with experience supporting Black/African-American children preferred. Providers with background in the following areas preferred: (1) psychology, (2) child, youth, and family studies, (3) social work, (4) special education, or (5) Black/Africana studies. ... more
