My care giving career started in 2001, when I helped a wheelchair-bound stroke survivor. I attended to everything she needed. My assignment ended in December 2004. From 2005 to 2008, I had a series of short assignments, each one with a different case: a hip replacement, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, heart disease, emphysema, diabetes, and hospice. I helped a person suffering from multiple diseases, including high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, heart bypass surgery, and incontinence. I clean, cook, shop, pick up medical prescriptions, and do transportation to doctors, therapies, etc. I did all my duties smiling and radiating the energy they needed so much. Why?? Because in each one I see my parents who I lost early in my life and have missed them ever since. I am CNA certified (Stratford). I am experienced in diabetic nutrition and diabetic supplies.
