I am a caring, compassionate, organized and determined person. I am first aid/CPR certified as well as medication administration certified (MAP). I have 21 years experience working in the nursing home/private home setting as a CNA/HHA. I also have 15 years experience (currently employed as well) working for the Department of Developmental Services as a shift supervisor. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to being a leader and human rights officer. I also assist individuals with various special needs with activities of daily living, participate in the community, accompany medical appointments, meal preparation, moral support, and communication with the interdisciplinary team (this includes family members). I don't see it as a job, but as family. I believe that disabilities (mental or physical) should never hinder a person from living a fulfilled and great quality of life.
