I have experience as an in home ABA therapist as well as experience in a school setting as a one on one ABA aide. In addition, I have experience as a preschool teacher, in which I had several children in my classroom with special needs. I have taken several Special Education courses and continue to learn and attend classes about different aspects of developmental disabilities. I also had one year of experience being a nanny for a child with a non verbal learning disability. In addition to these experiences, I also worked at a special needs camp for three summers and worked in an after school program for the ARC. I'm passionate about making the quality of life and care of a child with special needs a healthy and enriching one. I'm incredibly patient and find that I learn as much from them as they can from me. I feel that they are able to give me a new outlook on life as well as help me learn more about those people with differing abilities. I've demonstrated my continuing passion for working with children with special needs by recently applying for my Master's in Early Childhood Special Education. I hope to ultimately obtain my Ph. D. in this field.
