I have been teaching students with disabilities for 25 years; I have recently resigned my latest position at the end of the school year and am not sure if I will go back to teaching in the Fall. I love the children and have worked with those elementary to high school throughout my teaching years. Before teaching I worked with adults in a workshop setting. I have worked with those who have a mild mental disability to those with a severe and physical disability and all of the different types of "named" disabilities. I have kept many of my students after the school setting and even had guardianship. I loved the students as if they were my own and made sure they had what they needed to be clothed and of course any food that they needed. I am a minister's wife and would like to have Sunday's off for that reason. We have 3 children of our own in which the youngest and her husband just had a baby and live with us. I am willing to discuss varying hours depending on the situation.
