In college, I started a club that tutored special needs children at local elementary schools and was a member of best buddies for all 4 years. My senior year I assisted speech pathologists who worked with children who had speech impairments or autism. I really enjoy working with children that have special needs because of how optimistic they are and strong. Although I might be helping them with some daily tasks, they are the ones that inspire me everyday to view life a little more like they do.
