I've volunteered with a special day classroom of children ranging from ages kindergarten to eighth grade. This classroom included children with Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, hearing and visually impaired, and immobility, etc. I have also nannied special needs children outside of the classroom. I now work with a non-profit school for autism with children from the age of three to adults at the age of 22. I'm passionate about working with special needs children and adults because to me they are a huge inspiration. Working with them through their struggles or hard points and watching them develop and succeed with their goals is the most rewarding experience to me. I've learned the most important life lessons through this field of work and from the individuals I have worked with. Although it may be a tough job at some points, it is one that I am grateful for.
