I am 19 years old and I just moved to Havasu, I do college online so I can be very flexible with my hours. I watch my cousins, I have many between the ages of 1-5. I worked in childcare at my church, I was put with any group of children from babies to 5-year-olds. I also volunteered during weekday church services with first graders. Until I moved I watched a 7-year-old often and a 3-year-old at least once a week, and twice a week a 10-year-old overnight. In high school I headed a program called, "every hero needs a sidekick." This program worked with the special education students at my school and everyday they brought a smile to my face and taught me something new. I was born deaf, and I was a baby I had heart surgery, today I have mosaic turner syndrome. If you looked at me now you would have no idea about my past but my past has showed me one thing this is somewhere I should be. My goal one day is to work with special education.
