I found my passion for creating a world where there are only abilities while working at a summer camp for children and adults with special needs. This camp taught me what it means to appreciate my gifts and those of everybody around me, inspiring me to show up for others each day. In that position, I was responsible for collaborating with co-counselors and support staff to lead and adapt activities for the varying needs of the campers, assisting with personal hygeine, protecting the privacy of sensitive information, and promoting an environment where every camper is capable. I hope to be able to bring the love, laughter, and learning of camp to each individual I interact with and continue to educate in a world of only abilities.
