I have been a registered nurse since 1982 and love what I do. Helping individuals and their families has been extremely rewarding. I have worked in nursing homes, hospitals, private duty agencies, and self-employed private duty care. I decided to move into self-employed private duty care after maternity leave with my second daughter so I could have more flexibility with my schedule. I am currently caring for a 23-year-old female since she was 3 years old. Unfortunately, the state has cut her funding and I am now looking for something to do to keep me busy and working part-time during retirement. Prior to my most recent position, I have worked with individuals ranging from birth to 80 years old and have a wide realm of experience including, but not limited to, seizure disorders, brain disorders, respiratory disorders, visual disorders, wheelchair bound, developmental delays, and feeding tubes. I am licensed and professionally certified in CPR and plan to keep that up to date.
