I have an extensive background in caring for children and youth, both in America and overseas with orphans/ at-risk girls. I will be working as a teacher's assistant with special needs children in the Wake County Public School System. I also work with Turning Point Services, which connects caregivers with families who have special needs. And personally, I have been a substitute teacher for special education multiple times. I also grew up with a mentally disabled woman (whom my parents have taken guardianship of for over 20 years now), so I have lots of experience relating with her and am not intimidated by her disability.
