My name is Sonia, I'm a French Canadian from Montreal currently leaving in East Williamsburg. I'm a fashion design graduate and French tutor at The Fashion Institute of Technology. I'm very passionate about my major, but also share a passion for kids especially the ones with disabilities. I myself have been a caregiver for many years to my sister who has down syndrome. I've also had the opportunity to be a shadow for kids with special needs in an integration program in a day camp. I took great care of kids with autism from all level of the spectrum of the age of 2 to 13 years old. Through those years, I've developed many abilities such as patience, resilience, diligence, spontaneity as well as a sense of organization and responsibility. It's always has been a pleasure of mine to work with kids with special needs as they, in my opinion, bring the simple joy and excitement of life. Therefore, It would be a real pleasure for me to engage in those amazing experiences again!
