Experience providing care from infancy up to respite care for seniors. I personally believe that developing a relationship with clients is the most important first step to providing the quality of care I strive for and they deserve. This has been extremely effective over my years for being able to work with challenging behaviors ( I am CPI certified and have experience with ABA Therapy). When engaging with clients I focus on fun engaging activities that can stimulate all parts of the brain. Interest based instruction and planning is key so that clients have a voice. For the past 5 years I ran a Significant Support Needs program with a variety of ability levels. I have experience implementing behavior plans, seizure plans, hygiene needs, feeding plans. Eager to learn new strategies, very open-minded and eager to communicate openly. Some of the things I love are music, art, movement, and the outdoors. I am a very kind, quirky, and compassionate person.
