I've babysat and helped care for my 10-year-old brother since he was born, and he was diagnosed with autism when he was 3. I have helped calm meltdowns and learned how to use positive and patient language to diffuse situations. My brother is very picky about what he eats, so I understand and will always accommodate to any comfort foods for your child. My brother also had speech delays and needed help with pronouncing words and letter sounds, so if your child has any special flash cards or programs that they use for speech development, I'd be more than happy to go over that material with them and help ensure they're reaching their goals.
