For two years, I part-time babysat and transported a 12-year-old boy with severe Autism. I have worked with Special Olympics for the past 4 years and have been the head coach for the skills team for the past year. In this time, I have traveled with the team of 7-10 and was fully in charge when we stayed overnight for a weekend the past two years. I am passionate about what I do (special education) because I believe that I must make this my life s work to help children, each and every one of them live to their fullest potential. I believe that while I teach these students, they can also teach me. These children can have just as big of an impact on you as you do on them.
