With 8+ years of experience, working with children who have special needs is my passion. At 14, I began babysitting for a child who was on the spectrum and he opened my heart to helping children with disabilities. I began volunteering with the special education program at my high school and chose to pursue a degree in elementary and special education. I spent two years working at an elementary school in Hawaii as a special education preschool teacher. I worked with children ages 3-5 with a variety of disabilities. For the past three years, I have been a special education high school English teacher. I worked primarily with students on the autism spectrum and students who had learning disabilities. I also became a private tutor this year and have worked with students age 6-12.
