I have had over 30 years of experience in the caregiver field; from being a CNA in my younger years to working with various people with different disabilities and ages, after graduating from college in 1988, with a B. S. degree in Rehabilitation Psychology. My most recent experiences have been with people on the Autism Spectrum and Cerebral Palsy. I am also familiar with Downs Syndrome and other cognitive disabilities. I have experience in assisting with hearing and visually impaired folks as well. Please see my profile for more detailed information. My days of heavy physical lifting and transferring, repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, etc. are over. At this time I am concentrating on supporting people as a skills trainer; doing other activities in the community or at home; cognitive, mental and emotional support or helping with academic challenges.
