I began caring for those with disabilities when I was 19 years old. In this role, I aided with habilitation goals and attendant care ranging from toddlers to the elderly. Once I graduated from college, I began my teaching career in the special education setting with students who had mild to moderate disabilities. I love every second I spend with people with disabilities. They help me put into perspective the love that is always around us. In the grand scheme of life, some things just are not as important as others. And this community helps me understand that.
