I taught special education for 8 years, working with students with mild/moderate to severe disabilities. I resigned from my teaching position to be a stay-at-home-mom for the time being and I am looking for some part-time work doing something related to my passion. I hold a Master's in special education & I am currently working towards my advanced graduate certificate in autism spectrum disorders. I also hold an undergraduate degree in early childhood. Before teaching special ed, I was a preschool teacher for 8 years and I absolutely loved it! I am very enthusiastic about working with young & older kids/young adults who have unique learning styles. Most of the students I have worked with are on the autism spectrum & many with intellectual disabilities. I am a mom of 2 young children & I have always been very nurturing. One of my strengths is my personality- I am energetic, warm, enthusiastic, funny & animated. These personality traits have been very beneficial in my teaching career.
