Hello! My name is Paige A. and I am a student athlete at Illinois State University pursuing a degree in special education. I have worked for 2 summers at a summer camp for kids with special needs. These kids changed my life and allowed me to realize what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My senior year of high school, I took an independent study in which I spent an hour in a life skills classroom. I got to practice teaching, creating lesson plans, and so much more! Last summer, I babysat regularly for a girl in my hometown who had cerebral palsy. She also had two younger sisters. It was a great experience that allowed me to gain a new perspective. I will miss them this summer as I will be living in Normal to continue my cross country training with my teammates. I am currently looking for employment for the month of December as I will be in Normal and will have a fairly free schedule!
