I have worked as a helping professional for over 15 years and am passionate about helping others and working with those with disabilities. This passion started in middle school where I participated in a lunch bunch program and had lunch with children in the special education classroom once a week. I began working directly with children as a Red Cross trained babysitter at age 12 and helped my dad care for his second family of five children, the eldest of which has ADHD. Recently I have focused on adults with disabilities, however I am excited about the opportunity to work with children again and expand my skill set. I actually have very mild autism myself, so I understand a lot of the intricacies of the condition. You couldn't tell it by meeting me, however I understand and have a special appreciation for those on the spectrum.
