Greetings, I am a CPI, (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) CPR, CCAR, CASAC, CPP, CPS Certified Recovery and Life Skills Coach. As a result of an accumulated 18 + years in the mental health industry I am a skilled motivational group leader, unit counselor and caregiver, in clinical, residential treatment, and private duty home settings. I have worked via agency in many well-known hospitals and psychiatric facilities such as T. I. R. R. (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research), Health South, Champions Christian Academy, the Sharma Foundation (Forest Springs Hospital) and Riveredge Hospital. I am knowledgeable in holistic approaches to mental and spiritual healing, a graduate of the Landmark Forum and a participant in the production program. Many of my skill sets are derived from a wide range of working experiences that include marketing and management skills learned while I worked at Chicago Economic Development Corp as an assistant to the Director of Education and Training, as an Administrative Assistant for Aid. Ed Smith at C. A. M Center for Human Development. Last but not at all least, for many years I had been a homeschooling, single mother of a special needs child (now a young adult working in her chosen field) and sole adult caregiver of a terminally ill parent. I learned the MSCE Training Course in an effort to reduce costs in maintaining and securing my curriculum, care plans, budgets, medical reports and appointment schedules subsequently becoming computer literate and well versed in all Microsoft Applications all of which provides me with an uncommon dexterity of interpersonal, business and communication skill sets that propelled me to an international arena with organizations such as IYPAD International Inc. NFP and Global Day of the Drum.
