All children have needs, some just have different ones! Hello! My name is Nichole, I am 26 years, and currently pursuing a Masters of Social Work at Rutgers. I currently work as a residential counselor within a crisis intervention and stabilization residential program for children ages 6-11 years old with intellectual and developmental disabilities (5 months). In addition, I have worked with a 10-year-old boy with special needs (8 months). In the past, I worked in a residential setting for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (2. 5 years). I am experienced and comfortable with premature children, those with special needs, and sick children. I am medication administration trained and Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified. I am comfortable in assisting with all daily life needs. I enjoy reading, arts & crafts, playing games, as well going to the park and outside. Fun Fact: I have been the Easter Bunny! :)

Nicole has been providing childcare services for our son for approximately two years. Our son has global developmental delays and requires significant supervision. First, she is extremely kind and thoughtful. She always notices and acknowledges when our son achieves small milestones. Second, she is always coming up with ideas of how to challenge him in order for him to live up to his potential. Third, she is extremely responsible. In addition to watching our child on weekends during the day and at night, she has watched him for overnights as well. I feel very comfortable leaving our son with her. Fourth, she is an excellent problem solver. She is able to use judgment to make decisions. Fifth, she is able to communicate clearly and effectively. She regularly checks in and asks questions if she is unsure of something. Finally, she is warm and it is easy to spend time with her. She has spent holidays and time with us as a family and she is a pleasure to be around.
