I have spent one year supporting adults with developmental disabilities. I have worked with people who have seizure disorders, down syndrome, autism, paralysis, intellectual disabilities, schizophrenia, and combinations of the like. I have been a live-in caregiver who helps support clients with responsibilities, such as budgeting, scheduling, and meal planning. I have also played the role of an activity planner and found various community based activities, crafts, and games. I have spent time substitute teaching in special education classes where I tutored reading and math. I greatly enjoy this work and would love to continue!
