When I started my health care journey I started off caring for mentally disabled adults in foster care. I really enjoyed working with them and getting to know each and everyone one of the residents, somewhere in wheel chairs and couldn't do much for themselves, others needed reassurance and just companionship. I also had two young ladies I cared for when I was working with a company I would go to their shared housing and help them with daily living administer medication and take them on outings every weekend, I really enjoyed them and their parents begged to come work for the new company that was taking over. I am not CPR/AED certified and certified as a medical assistant. Currently taking some evening classes at OCC to become a respiratory therapist but caregiving will always be my first love as a job.
