Hi! My name is Maggie and I am currently studying special education at the University of Mississippi. Throughout my life I have always worked in the special education departments at my schools. In high school I was a teachers assistant for 2 years where I was able to spend a class period a day with my students. I also helped with the school play put on my the special ed department in my high school. I also had the opportunity to volunteer as a cheer leading coach where I was able to work with a few athletes that had disabilities ranging from ADD/ADHD to Down syndrome . I am extremely passionate about caring for and teaching kids with special needs. It has been my dream to change lives with my profession and I believe I would make the biggest change while working as a special education teacher.
