I graduated with a BA in Psychology from NCSU in 2018. I then worked at Copestone for 4. 5 years. Copestone is an inpatient psychiatric facility and encompasses six units ages 4-5. I worked extensively on and am competent on every unit. My two home units included acute adult and adolescent. On adolescent, I taught DBT skills and lead groups to discuss these skills. I am certified in Crisis-Prevention Intervention and helped teach this training to all employees. I was also appointed head of the BERT Drill Committee provided continuous education to all unit staff on how to effectively respond to crisis situations across the lifespan. When I transitioned from acute adult to adolescent, I needed a change and I expected to struggle. However, I really loved working with the kids. They were comfortable opening up to me and were able to trust me. I am currently in nursing school and working 1-2 days a week. I'm looking to add part time work that will be meaningful and provide someone support.
