I have cared for children with special needs since I was a child myself. My younger brother Mark had/has ADHD, and I was in charge of him while my mom slept after graveyard shifts as an RN. I was about 10, and my brother was 5. I have cared for a young man who lost his arm and leg in a boating accident. I have been assigned special need children while in day care by my directors. I have cared for children with club feet, downs syndrome, and many kids who suffered from ADD and ADHD.
