I was a Psychology Intern in social skills groups for children with Asperger's at West Bergen Mental Healthcare, where I was assigned to 1-3 children and provided them with redirection and guidance specific to the modules being worked on. Over a four month period, I took detailed notes on their behavioral progress each week and updated the parents at the end of each session. I would love to have greater experience with children who have mental health diagnoses as I will be graduating this Winter and plan to attend graduate school for my Doctoral degree in Psychology or my MSW.
