Hello! My name is Leah. I am currently a junior at Winona State University. I am from Northfield, Minnesota, so I will be home for the summer. I have worked at my current job since August of 2022. I am a direct support professional for individuals with disabilities. I assist them in cleaning their apartments, grocery shopping, exercising, and attending social rec events. I love my job and will be returning to it once I am back at school. I have also worked at a nursing home in Northfield for a couple years as a housekeeper. Although I don't do CNA work there, I provide the elderly with a space to have meaningful conversations and keep their rooms clean. I would love to work with someone with disabilities over the summer because I am also planning on attending graduate school for Occupational Therapy!
