I have gained an immense amount of knowledge and experience working with children with special needs at The Carrie Brazer Center for Autism as well as other jobs and volunteering throughout college. While attending The University of Texas, I worked as a respite caregiver for a family with a 10-year-old daughter on the spectrum. I was with the family for 2 1/2 years until I graduated and moved to Miami. I assisted with feeding, bathing, educational support, positive behavior reinforcement, daily physical activities, outings in the community, language enriching activities, etc. While working at The Carrie Brazer Center for Autism, I developed and implemented small measurable goals for each of my students. I have created IEPs for each child and consulted with parents on specific goals for their children.

Laurie was my 7-year old daughter's ESE teacher during the 2014-15 school year. She is an exceptional special needs teacher and care giver: compassionate, creative, and professional. I am so pleased to support her with my highest recommendation.
