Latoria ("Lucy") started helping my family in May with my special needs daughter. I was very hopeful as she seemed really great when I interviewed her over the phone and during our first few visits. However, in the few months that she helped our family there were 3 instances where she just didn't show and did not do a good job of communicating her need to miss her scheduled time with us. In each of these instances, I had to cancel plans that I had made. The last straw for us was when she failed to show on Saturday afternoon. I called and texted. Finally, I received a text response over an hour after she was scheduled to start her shift - she informed me that she had taken a nap and didn't hear her alarm....no other communication. Then on Sunday she just didn't show for her shift - no communication period. Based on this, I had to let her go. So disappointing and unreliable.
