I'm currently in graduate school for a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at Tufts University. I have worked with individuals with special needs for over 10 years, starting in high school. During my undergrad at UMass Amherst, I volunteered at Shriner's Children's Hospital, working with children with physical and intellectual disabilities, as they fulfilled a 12-week exercise program; specifically, I worked closely with an 8-year-old girl with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Also at UMass, I worked as a rehabilitation aide at Cooley Dickinson Hospital - Outpatient Rehab, under the supervision of PT and OT, assisting therapists with patients of various ailments and diagnoses. Currently during school breaks I work as a direct support professional at Seven Hills Foundation, where I work with individuals and groups of people that have intellectual and physical disabilities.
