I have worked with kids with special needs for 4 years. I most recently worked for a family with a little girl who has a feeding tube and developmental delays. The job was so rewarding and fun. One family I nannied for has a child with Down Syndrome whom I adore. He is so fun and funny and the best kid to play hide and seek with. Another family I worked for and even taught for a little bit has a child with Spina Bifida, he considers me his best friend and I consider him mine. He'll be the ring bearer in my upcoming wedding in May! For a couple years I worked for a family who's child was recently diagnosed with anger management. The progress he made over the two years I was with them was exponential and I've never been more proud of a child. I'm so passionate about what I do because it is so rewarding. I love watching the kids minds expand everyday.

Katie is a supernova nanny!! She is absolutely amazing and I wish she still lived nearby. She cared for my special needs daughter at our home during covid, and truly knocked it out of the park. Because of Katie, my little one made progress in math during distance learning (despite not being able to do zoom school) because Katie took it on herself to organize a program with her, did her physical therapy every day with joy, and generally thrived under awful conditions. We all adore Katie, and I admire her skill, wisdom, and compassion. She's truly just amazing, dependable, loving, kind, creative, fun, silly, healthy, a good role model, and I miss her every day.
