I am currently a full time special education teacher and have been for the past 8 years. I teach in kindergarten/first grade at a public separate day school for students who are medically fragile. I have my Masters degree in special education from 2018. My students are 5 to 7 years old but I use a lot of early childhood concepts in my classroom to meet their needs. While I was in college I worked in my church nursery with infants from 0 to 18 months! I am familiar with lifting, holding, diapering, supporting activities of daily living, a variety of medical needs and feeding needs. All of my students have physical needs so I work closely with the schools physical therapist and occupational therapist in supporting my students in different positions or in and out of different equipment. I love snuggling or bouncing little ones and playing with toddlers up to children. My early childhood/ special education background lends itself to fun and active playtimes for all ages.
