For 6 summers I worked in a leader position for children diagnosed with ASD at an inclusive camp through the Asheville Jewish Community Center. Alongside that, I worked as a classroom aid for half a year in a Self Sustained classroom grades 2-5. I ve worked with children who have autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorders, children with motar planning disorders, and behavioral disorders. In the camp atmosphere I was responsible for overseeing both inclusive parts of camp, elementary and middle school, and was responsible for managing most melt downs. I have experience in working with adults who are diagnosed with ASD as well as part of their 24-hour care team.
