I am a 21-year-old college student who is majoring in Special Education. I do not have paid experience with working with children with special needs, I do on the other hand have countless hours of experience being an intern. I was a teachers assistant for a Special Educational class room for two years. One year I was with high school students with Down's syndrome and autism ranging from high functioning to mute. My second year I worked with 5th graders with autism on all ranges of the spectrum. I can not assure you that I am the most educated in my field but I can assure you that I am constantly learning and am always willing listen and work with what you feel is best for your child.
