Throughout my years in high school, I have worked at one special needs day camp and had one on ones with children who have autism. Working with special needs children and adults has opened my eyes. What I mean by this is that as children we are carefree and more fun-loving and as we progress in age that care free attitude is often silenced to conform to ideals of society. The children that I have worked with still have that care free attitude and that's what I love.
