Hello! My name is Joella . I am finishing out my second year of nursing school at Flathead Valley Community College and am transferring to Montana State Univerisity this fall to complete my bachelor of science in nursing. I have worked as a CNA in long term care for 4 years. During this time I have assisted with ADLs, diabetes management, medication management, showering, wheelchair transfers, daily hygiene, and emotional support. I am also CPR and first aid certified. In addition to my work as a CNA I have volunteered with indivuals with special needs through a local special needs program, Camp Promise, for the last four years. I assisted with wheelchairs and transport, seizure disorder care, toileting, and medications. I helped to resolve conflict between campers and communicated with family members in cases of emergency. I have worked with individuals with autism, down syndrome, ADHD, cerebral palsy, fetal alcohol syndrome, and various cognitive disorders.
