CAREGIVING EXPERIENCE: My last patient was thomas. He was 80 years old. He suffered from Parkinson's, advance stage Arthurites and Esophageal Cancer. He needed round the clock care and assistance. I made sure he was bathed, had clean clothes, ate regular meals (what he needed and what he wanted) and was sufficiently entertained throughout the day up until about 10:00 when he was ready for bed. He was in my care for 18 months before passing away from cancer. CAREGIVING EXPERIENCE: I resigned my real estate job to care for my sister full time in 2005. I cared for her to the conclusion of her life in late 2009. She was left in my care after being diagnosed with schizophrenia. It is reported that she had a nervous breakdown and then received the diagnosis. Her then-husband left her at my door. I was happy he did because I do not feel he treated her well.
