I have over 4 years of experience working with children and I believe each child requires an individual approach. Although most of my paid experience has been around special needs children, my volunteer work has gotten me comfortable around kids of all ages and abilities. I've worked at special needs summer camps for two years and have experience as a full-time nanny for neurotically and special needs children. I have extensive experience working with children/teenagers with Asperger's Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. My experience includes work with fine motor skills, visual schedules, and physical activity along with other duties as a nanny. I have worked one on one with physically, cognitively, and emotionally impaired children both verbal and non verbal, as well as children who may not be fully toilet trained. I'm comfortable around infants and spent my high school years working with children in athletic and academic settings through various organizations. I'm also Red Cross certified in adult and pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. Academically, I'm finishing up my bachelor's degree majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Biology. I'm an active member of my sorority and I'm a member of the Honors College.
