For the past 30+ years, I have been involved with several major health care organization as a volunteer and staff member including MDA St. Louis (Regional Director), KEEN St. Louis (Executive Director), Make-A-Wish (volunteer wish granter) and Unlimited Play (Dir. of Operations). Throughout the time, I also served as caregiver and friend to individuals with severe muscle wasting diseases, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, and ALS. I am comfortable with all aspects of care including dressing, feeding, toileting, transfers and trach/respiratory care. Most recently, I founded, as serve as part-time Exec. Director, for MO Better Foundation, which assists Missouri children and adults purchase aides to daily living. This position gives me the flexibility in my schedule to serve as a caregiver to those who may need an extra hand.
