I have had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of special needs children, ages 5 - 15, as both a tutor and a caregiver. These students have included kids with ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, and autism from moderate to severe. My approach as a tutor and caregiver is based around the notion of positive reinforcement. I work with kids to help reinforce healthy development in areas such as their emotional/social intelligence, academic performance, and personal growth. Patience and empathy are both fundamental for this work, and I have the ability to understand the perspectives of others which allows me to have a greater sense of how to help them develop properly.
