Hello! My name is Hilari and I'm a Functional Academics (academic side of life skills) teacher during the year at an Elementary school in Liberty Hill! I have 3 years of (paid) experience in various special education settings and students with different special needs. I have worked with students while completing my degree in Special Education at Texas A&M University across all public school settings, I was a long-term substitute in a life skills classroom at the intermediate level while teaching 7 students who have varying degrees of Autism, taught resource ELAR to students in middle school Fayetteville, AR, and recently I have been working with students who have moderate to severe cognitive disabilities (mainly Autism, Down syndrome, & Intellectual Disability) at my current job at an elementary school. I would love to gain more experience throughout the summer so I can truly have continuous lifelong learning!
