I have worked in an elementary school as a one-on-one aid for a 5-year-old autistic boy! During that time I also helped in the special education room with many other children with wide ranges of special needs. I have also babysat for a couple different families that have children on the spectrum and have seizure disorders. I am certified as a medical assistant, so providing medicine is not an issue! Growing up my father (who is a nurse) worked at a facility for adults that could not live on their own and had special needs and ever since then I have had a special place in my heart for this kind of work! :)

To Whom It May Concern: Heatha has been working with my son (a 37-year-old with Down Syndrome) since July 17. He was very negative about accepting a new Staff, but Heatha immediately establish a rapport with C and made him feel comfortable. She made a connection with him by talking to him about like interests - TV shows, GYM, his cat, etc. Heatha is available for the times we need her and is willing to take C to upcoming events at PACC, McCoy stadium andThe Vets. I look forward to having her working with C as long as we need her. Thank you. Stasia
