I have previous experience with children/teens with special needs. I assisted in a special Ed classroom in high-school, which really began my interest in pursuing a future career involving individuals with special needs. I went on to get a two year special education certificate from Century College. I worked at an Autism Clinic assisting in ABA therapy with individuals on the Spectrum. This job gave me lots of experience on learning how to handle certain behaviors appropriately. Currently I work at a Charter school as a one on one special education paraprofessional. I plan on going back to school to get my special education teaching degree. I am patient, hard working and thoughtful. I am looking for a summer job opportunity as I will go back to my school job in late August!
